This privacy policy applies to the The Movement & Muscle Method mobile application (hereinafter referred to as "Application" or "App") for iOS and Android devices, developed by The Movement & Muscle Method LLC (hereinafter referred to as "we," "us," "our," or "Service Provider"). This service is provided as a Freemium service and is provided "AS IS".

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide to Us

When you register and use the Application, we collect the following personal information:

• Account Information: Email address, first name, and last name (username)
• Workout Data: Completed training sessions, exercise selections, sets, reps, weights, and RIR (Reps in Reserve) feedback
• Personal Records: Your personal bests and maximum lifts across different exercises
• Training Progress: Current cycle, block, week, and day within the program structure
• Custom Exercise Library: Any custom exercises you create and save
• Program Preferences: Your selected training goals and exercise variations
• Body Composition Data: Bodyweight, body fat percentage, body measurements (waist, hips, chest, arms, thighs), and biological sex, which you may optionally provide for personalized strength tracking

Registration is required to use the Application's features. Without registration, you will not be able to access the training program, track workouts, or sync your data across devices.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

The Application automatically collects certain information, including but not limited to:

• Mobile device type and model
• Unique device identifier (Device ID)
• IP address
• Mobile operating system (iOS or Android version)
• App usage patterns and crash reports
• Performance metrics for app optimization

1.3 Location Information

We do not collect precise real-time location information. The Application does not track or store your geographic location.

1.4 Artificial Intelligence (AI)

We do not use AI technologies to process your data or provide features within the Application.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Provide Core Functionality: To deliver the 23-week periodized powerlifting program, track your training progress, calculate working weights, and manage your workout history
• Cloud Backup & Sync: To securely store your workout data in the cloud (via Firebase) and synchronize it across your devices
• Account Management: To authenticate your account and manage your subscription status
• App Improvements: To analyze usage patterns, fix bugs, and improve app performance
• Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries and provide technical assistance
• Important Notifications: To send you critical updates about your account, subscription, or app changes
• Marketing (Optional): With your consent, to send promotional materials about new features or updates

3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We only share aggregated, anonymized data with third parties to improve the Application. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

The Application utilizes the following third-party services that have their own privacy policies:

• Google Play Services - Android app functionality
• Google Analytics for Firebase - Usage analytics and performance monitoring
• Firebase Crashlytics - Crash reporting and error tracking
• Firebase Authentication & Firestore - User authentication and secure cloud data storage
• Expo - Mobile app development framework
• RevenueCat - Subscription management and in-app purchase processing
• Apple App Store / Google Play Store - In-app purchase processing (handled by Apple/Google, not by us)

3.1 When We May Disclose Your Information

We may disclose your information in the following circumstances:

• As required by law (e.g., to comply with a subpoena or legal process)
• To protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others
• To investigate fraud or respond to government requests
• With trusted service providers who work on our behalf and have agreed to keep your information confidential

4. Data Security

We take the security of your information seriously and implement multiple safeguards:

• Encrypted Transmission: All data transmitted between your device and our servers uses industry-standard encryption
• Secure Cloud Storage: Your workout data is stored securely using Firebase's infrastructure with strict access controls
• Access Restrictions: Only you can access your personal workout data through your authenticated account
• Limited Employee Access: Only authorized employees and contractors with legitimate need have access to user data

While we strive to protect your information, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches. We cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.

5. Your Data Rights and Choices

5.1 Access and Export Your Data

You have the right to access and export your workout data at any time. The Application includes a built-in data export feature in the Settings screen that allows you to download all your workout history, personal records, and training progress as a CSV file.

5.2 Delete Your Data

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at support@movementmusclemethod.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and delete your data from our servers.

Note: Some data may be required for the Application to function properly. Deleting certain data may limit or prevent use of the app's features.

5.3 Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all data collection by uninstalling the Application through your device's standard uninstall process or via the App Store/Google Play Store.

5.4 Marketing Communications

You may opt out of receiving promotional emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in those emails or by contacting us directly.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information as follows:

• User-Provided Data: Retained for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable period thereafter
• Automatically Collected Data: Retained for up to 24 months, then may be stored in aggregated form
• Workout History: Retained indefinitely to provide continuous training progression tracking across multiple cycles

7. Subscription and Payment Information

We do not collect or store payment information. All subscription payments are processed through Apple's App Store or Google Play Store. Your payment information is handled entirely by Apple or Google according to their respective privacy policies.

RevenueCat is used to verify your subscription status but does not have access to your payment details.

8. Children's Privacy

The Application is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 years of age.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@movementmusclemethod.com so we can delete that information.

9. International Users and Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and stored on servers located in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Application, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries outside your country of residence, which may have different data protection laws.

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
• Right to request deletion of your personal information
• Right to opt-out of the sale of personal information (note: we do not sell personal information)
• Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes:

• Your continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

13. Your Consent

By downloading, installing, and using the Application, you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

14. Fitness and Health Disclaimer

The Application provides a structured powerlifting training program but is not a substitute for professional medical or fitness advice. You should consult with a healthcare provider before beginning any exercise program, especially if you have any pre-existing health conditions.

We are not responsible for any injuries, health issues, or damages that may result from using the Application or following the training program.
